Estadio Azteca

Hosts the opening match of the tournament on June 11, 2026.

Estadio Azteca opened in 1966 and is one of the most iconic football stadiums in the world. It is the only venue to have hosted two FIFA World Cup finals, in 1970 and 1986, and witnessed Diego Maradona's famous goals against England. With the 2026 tournament it becomes the first stadium to feature in three different World Cups.
